As a result, our firm has established state-of-the-art design engineering standards that have provided substantial technical and economic benefits for our clients. Company ProfileKALLEN & LEMELSON, Consulting Engineers, LLP, was established in 1957 by Howard Kallen and Howard Lemelson to offer professional engineering services for the design of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems. These services have been and continue to be provided for a wide range of applications including institutional, commercial, private and industrial facilities.
The firm was acquired in 1997 from the founding partners and is wholly owned by Richard Meilan, Gabriel Oancea and Steven J. DiFlora. Howard Lemelson remains with the firm as a consultant. The new leadership continues with the philosophy of delivering quality service while adding new insights to insure client satisfaction which is essential in today’s highly competitive business environment. Kallen & Lemelson is headquartered in midtown Manhattan, New York.
The principals and staff of K&L possess a long record of successful achievement in their engineering and consulting endeavors. Our extensive experience includes a portfolio of projects ranging from standard institutional and commercial buildings to highly sophisticated systems for hospitals, research facilities, laboratories, computer and data centers, libraries, museums, upscale residential buildings, hotels and buildings of landmark status. Our capabilities include feasibility studies, surveys, facility assessment reports, energy consumption and conservation, commissioning and supervision of construction. These services are provided for new buildings, building expansions and building renovation projects. We also possess experience in a wide variety of central heating and cooling plants, as well as above and below ground piping distribution design. K&L’s services are available to architects, as a subconsultant and directly to principal owners.
At K&L, our philosophy is to maintain close client contact, adhere to project budgets, and develop innovative and functional designs suited to a client’s individual needs. Each project is considered unique, regardless of its size, scope, or complexity. Work progress is coordinated with the client as well as other project consultants including architects, structural engineers, security, communications, technology and computer, lighting and interior design, audiovisual, and food service consultants. We stress the importance of integrating the various building systems and attention to detail is monitored throughout each project phase.
At K&L, innovative and economical design solutions result from coordinated teamwork supported by the extensive experience of our diverse staff. Our team of fifty five people consists of the four partners, principals, engineers, designers, CAD operator, and clerical staff. All the partners and key personnel are registered Professional Engineers. |
